Super Melting Sebum Softener & Skin Wrap Cotton Pad Set

The ILSO Super Melting Sebum Softener helps somewhat at dissolving sebaceous filaments, reducing their appearance by ~20%, which is better than other products I've tried so far. It's an easy-to-use product (I have been using it straight after showering) - the precut nasal strips work well and it washes off easily. However, I was hoping for better efficacy, so am currently hunting for a superior product for addressing my stubborn sebaceous filaments.

I fall for these viral influencer skincare stuff all the time and every single time, I am disappointed because they never work even after using it for months... until I bought this. It is absolutely worth the hype and it 100% does work. I have never felt my nose and chin this smooth before, especially not without manual extraction (which was literally the ONLY thing that had worked in the 15+ years I've been dealing with sebaceous filaments). I used it after a shower and kept the cotton pad on problem areas for about 10 minutes, and then scraped with a ultrasonic pore scraper thingy (I did buy the Ilso branded scraper, but it shipped separately from the bottle so it hasn't arrived yet). The sebum comes off like hot butter. Just make sure to buy a large pack of thin cotton pads since I don't think the box that comes with the bottle is enough. I have nothing but good things to say about this. I avoided it for so long because I thought it was a gimmick, but it genuinely works. If AHA/BHA/oil cleansing/etc has never worked for you, try this out. It definitely needs regular use because sebaceous filaments always come back, but that's for all products that target them and this one works basically instantly so it's definitely worth it!!

Not a gimmick. Does exactly what it says it does. Used the scrapping tool & it came right off, left my nose clean, shiny & smooth. Would recommend
